Paper Modelling on Stand
In this workshop we did paper modelling on stand, This will help us fully understand pattern experimentation done backwards.
We worked in groups for four, to start this exercise we wrapped a mannequin with paper.
The materials we needed are:
- Cello tape
- Stand
- Paper
- Scissors
- Pen
we designed the style into the stand so we can determine which patterns that can be cut.
and we taped the paper around the stand, and drew the patterns. This will then be cut and added seam allowance to put the whole piece together.
We used the maker pens to where the design of our garment.
Then we laid it out on paper to add the seam allowance and put it back on the stand to check if all of the pieces we have cut out fits. Overall, This really help me to understand making patterns.
